Cutting down on food and drink miles? How far does your bottle of wine travel?
Welland Valley Vineyard is a 2 acre English Vineyard established in 1991 on a sheltered south facing slope 3 miles south west of Market Harborough on the border of Leicestershire and Northamptonshire. Many different French and German vine varieties are grown. The soil is loam over Jurassic clay. We have a variety of award winning estate bottled wines are made including white, red, rose and bottle fermented Quality Sparkling. A small volume of cider is also made on site from traditional cider apples grown in the vineyard. Our wine and cider is often in short supply, particularly in the spring. We are happy to have group visits (maximum number 25) with tastings for the summer months. Please ask for a leaflet. Wine sales from the vineyard are by prior appointment only. For more details, a brochure or to order wine by mail order, please either ring or email.
